Veterans Day Celebration at the Rock of Honor

Meridian will celebrate our nation's veterans with a patriotic ceremony on Monday, November 11, at 11:00 am, at the Rock of Honor Veterans Memorial located inside Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park. The keynote speaker at this year's event will be former U.S. Senator Larry Craig. Attendees are encouraged to bring along folding chairs or lawn blankets are seating is somewhat limited. The event, which is projected to last approximately 45 minutes, is presented by the Rock of Honor Board, Meridian's American Legion Post 113, VFW Post 4000, the City of Meridian, and other local veterans organizations.

Join us for Pleasant View's 5th Annual Community Turkey Trot Saturday, November 16th! Our run has a family-friendly focus, allowing runners and walkers of all abilities to participate. Younger kids can join us for a 1K Turkey Scramble ($18) around the school at 9:00 am, followed by our Turkey Trot 5k ($30) at 9:15. All runners will receive a t-shirt and kids will receive a medal. After the run, enjoy music, a photo booth, door prizes, Trophy Ceremony, and snacks from our food truck vendors. We have been preparing all year for this big show, and can’t wait to have you join us for our 19th Celtic Holiday! Matinee is at 2pm - Featuring our beginning and intermediate dancers with advance dancers as guests, this is a great way to enjoy Irish Dance. You can feel the work the dancers put into all the pieces of their craft! Our show is at 7pm - Our show will take you on an entire journey! Tour ancient Ireland, journey across the sea to America, and celebrate our own beautiful state of Idaho as you enjoy Irish music and dance with IRISH DANCE IDAHO dancers along with a few special guests!
