About the Art IAG Invitational Group Exhibition This inaugural group exhibition brings together eight invited artists whose work reflects the innovation, craftsmanship, and diverse voices shaping contemporary art today. With a wide range of mediums and styles on display, the IAG Invitational highlights the creative excellence at the heart of Idaho Art Gallery’s growing artist community. It’s a powerful celebration of emerging and established talent working at the forefront of visual expression. Art and About: Bonnie Griffith Solo Exhibition In this solo exhibition, acclaimed painter Bonnie Griffith presents a series of oil and cold wax paintings inspired by the Western landscape. Using rich, layered surfaces and intuitive mark-making, Griffith captures the intersection of memory, mystery, and place. Her deep reds, moody indigos, and earthen tones evoke the lush terrain of the West, while subtle hints of cows and sheep bring added narrative to her scenes. Griffith’s work invites viewers to step into their own inner landscapes—spaces where memory and transformation intertwine. Make a Night of It Located in the vibrant heart of downtown Meridian, Idaho Art Gallery is surrounded by a variety of local restaurants, cafes, and dessert spots. Sparklight Movie Night - Guardians of the Galaxy

Join Meridian Parks and Recreation for the first-ever "Date Night" at Sparklight Movie Night, featuring Guardians of the Galaxy! Grab your significant other, and friends for a fun and free evening under the stars. We’ll inflate our giant outdoor movie screen in Settlers Park to showcase this PG-13 film. Arrive early to explore the concession stand, where you can indulge in delicious treats and movie snacks. Thanks to our generous sponsors—CBH Homes, ACHD, School of Rock, and Meridian Anti-Drug Coalition (MADC) — this event is completely free! Be sure to bring your lawn chairs and blankets to relax and enjoy the fresh summer air. The movie will begin at dusk, with the screen set up at 7:00 pm. Intro to Laser Engraving

This class is for adults (or teens with an adult) interested in learning the basics of laser engraving! You will learn about our laser, see the laser engraver in action, and become badged (which means you can come and use the laser on your own)! The software we use for our laser engraver is LightBurn, which is free to download if you'd like to familiarize yourself before class. Registration Required!

Meridian’s Concerts on Broadway Outdoor Music Series Returns with a Trio of Free Concerts! The 2025 season of Meridian’s popular Concerts on Broadway series will feature three Saturday night concerts in Meridian City Hall’s outdoor plaza. Concerts are FREE and the headliners will take the stage at 7:00 pm. Rockabetty will be performing on Saturday, August 9, a seven-member band specializing in the performance of tributes to 50’s and 60’s female rockabilly greats! Seating is available in the plaza’s built-in amphitheater, but attendees are encouraged to bring folding chairs or lawn blankets. Food truck vendors will be onsite, and Loose Screw Beer will be serving drinks. Guests are also welcome to bring along their favorite foods and beverages. Concerts on Broadway is a presentation of the Meridian Arts Commission with sponsorship support from the Meridian Development Corporation, Investment Resources of America, Loose Screw Beer, Las Calaveras, and Idaho Central Credit Union.
