Chili Cook-Off

Bring your friends and family to taste some of the best chili in town and cast your vote for your favorite! It's a day filled with delicious flavors, friendly competition, and great company. Best of all, it's FREE to taste and vote! Don't miss out on the fun – mark your calendars and get ready to spice up your Saturday! Interested in competing? Find more information & register at the link below: REGISTER TO COMPETE: forms.gle/EUmkEdGgk1yc1jkH9 To enter, you must bring a minimum of 4 gallons of your homemade chili, ready to serve. Chili CANNOT be made on site, it must all be made in advance. Contestants are allowed to provide any condiments! Think chips, cornbread, sour cream, cheese, jalapeños etc. High Desert H-D will provide: (1) 6 ft table, (1) plastic table cloth, tasting cups, spoons, and napkins. Extension cords will not be supplied, please bring your own. If you are competing, please be prepared to bring the following items: extension cords, decoration, additional tables if needed. Voting will be based upon the following factors: Appearance, Aroma, Flavor, & Texture. Voting will be on a scale of 1-5, 1 being the lowest score and 5 being the highest score. Each audience member will be given a scorecard to determine the winner. Set up starts as early as 9:30 AM. Please be all set up and ready to serve NO LATER than 11:30 AM on January 18th. TABLE LOCATION IS FIRST COME FIRST SERVED! Please prepare at least 4 gallons of chili so all guests may have a chance to sample! When filling your sample cups on the day of competition, please only fill about 1-2 spoons full. 1st place receives a $250 gift card, a Chili Cook Off 1st Place trophy, and an engraved cooking spoon. 2nd place receives a $100 gift card, and an engraved cooking spoon. 3rd place receives a $75 gift card, and an engraved cooking spoon. Event sign up is open until January 16th, 2025 and is limited to 25 tickets. Please register each competitor individually. This competition will also include our Indian Boise location! Contestants will have to walk across the parking lot over to Indian's showroom to sample their chili before turning in their scorecards. If you would like to compete inside the Indian location instead of HDH-D please email us at hannah@highdeserthd.com to secure your location in the Indian showroom. If your chili wins, you can decide if you want an Indian or HD gift card. Gift cards are not valid towards motorcycle purchases.
Winter Wonderland Dance & Social

Join us at the Meridian Senior Center for a magical Winter Wonderland Dance & Social on January 23rd from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM (doors open at 2:45 PM). This delightful event will feature a potluck, with the Center providing delicious pulled pork sandwiches. We invite all attendees to bring a side dish or dessert to share, making it a true community feast. Dance the afternoon away to the tunes of DJ Marketing Mike, who will be spinning your favorite hits and keeping the energy high. Ticket Information: $5 for the dance and social $8 for the dance, social, and dinner Tickets can be purchased at our Front Desk.
