Scentsy Fireworks Show

Scenty’s highly-anticipated 12-hour, community-wide Rock-a-Thon is Friday, Sept. 6, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.. We’re lining up70 rocking chairs on our property along Pine Avenue and Eagle Road. We’re keeping these chairs rocking to raise money for Faces of Hope (https://www.facesofhopeidaho.org/). Donations are in support of one vision: Hope is closer than you think. To cap off a full day of fun, food and fundraising, our annual SPECTACULAR FIREWORKS SHOW lights off at 9 p.m. Parking for the fireworks show is free. However, please consider donating to Faces of Hope to reach our fundraising goal! Donate at ScentsyRockathon.com. This night will be filled with almost 20 food trucks and more for the whole family to enjoy. Bring your low-back chair or blanket and join us to celebrate an amazing day of giving. If you’ve seen our fireworks before, you’re probably still talking about it. If you haven’t, you don’t want to miss it this year!
Art Week Paint Party

The City of Meridian will celebrate its 8th annual Meridian Art Week, September 8-14, 2024. The week will feature a variety of events and activities that focus on the integral role art plays in creating vibrancy in our community. Details and a schedule of events will be made available closer to the time of the event at meridiancity.org/artweek. Meridian Art Week is coordinated by the Meridian Arts Commission. Public Safety Day

The Meridian Fire and Police Departments will be hosting this fun family friendly event to kick-off Fire Prevention and Crime Prevention month in October. Kids will enjoy fun activities, demonstrations, a chance to sit in a fire truck and patrol car, all while learning important safety messages. MADC will have resources to help guide family prevention. Super Sensory Storytime

Super Sensory Storytimes are story times for children who have sensory processing challenges and/or who do not thrive in a traditional library story time environment. Program Type: Find Support, Move Your Body, Storytime Age Group: All Ages/Families, Pre-K (ages 0-5) Registration for this event will close on September 11, 2024 @ 10:00am. There will be a 30-minute stay and play option for children and families to socialize after the story time. This is a non-judgmental environment for you and your children to come and experience a story time catered to their specific needs. Feel free to bring any sensory aids your children might need. Meridian Senior Center Hosts Block Party for Local Seniors and Community

Meridian, Idaho – The Meridian Senior Center is excited to announce a Block Party on Wednesday, September 25th, from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at 1920 N Records Way, Meridian, Idaho 83646. This event is designed to bring together local seniors and community members for an evening of live music, dancing, food, and friendship. Attendees will be treated to the lively tunes of Roderick's Cruizin' Classics, setting the perfect backdrop for a dance and social gathering. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or just looking to enjoy the music and company, this event offers something for everyone. Tickets are available for $5, which includes access to the dance and social. For those looking to enjoy a meal as well, a $10 ticket includes dinner, along with the dance and social. This event is open to the local community, with a special focus on our seniors. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with neighbors, make new friends, and enjoy an evening of entertainment.
